The 2009 Toyota Sequoia: A new SR5 model offers Canadians the ultimate choice in maximum performance and value

(TORONTO) – When Canadians need a full-size, full-performance SUV – one that’s ready to go anywhere, on or off the road – they turn to Toyota for the Sequoia’s combination of strong performance, style, comfort and utility that are at the top of their class.

“The 2009 Toyota Sequoia proves that capability and comfort, strength and style, go hand-in-hand in a full-size SUV,” said Warren Orton, Director of Toyota Canada Inc. “For the 2009 model year, we are giving Canadians even more choice, by offering a new model – the Sequoia SR5 with a larger, 5.7 litre iFORCE V8. Featuring the same powertrain as the Limited and Platinum models, but in a package geared more to a hard working environment, it’s the perfect full-size SUV for those who need maximum performance and maximum value.”

Canadians will appreciate Sequoia’s impressive interior space and towing capability - up to 9,595 pounds on some models. Safety systems such as Vehicle Stability Control and Active Traction Control make the Sequoia easy to drive with confidence, while specially designed headlamps and fog lamps on all models mean the way ahead is clear. Smart in-cabin storage provides plenty of space for everything, while generous, leather-clad seats make even the longest journey a pleasant one. When size, power, space and comfort are top considerations, the 2009 Toyota Sequoia delivers more of everything.

The 2009 Toyota Sequoia is now available at dealerships across Canada. The Sequoia SR5 4.7L carries a manufacturer’s suggested retail price starting at $45,320, while the Sequoia SR5 5.7L starts at $52,025. The suggested starting price for the Sequoia Limited is $54,845, while the Sequoia Platinum starts at $63,045.
