Lexus Is Conducting a Safety Recall Involving Certain Lexus IS and GS Vehicles

TORONTO, ON – June 26, 2018 Toyota Canada Inc. today announced that it is conducting a safety recall involving certain Lexus models: Model Year 2006-2013 IS350, Model Year 2010-2014 IS350C and Model Year 2007-2011 GS350, and GS450h vehicles.  Approximately 4,900 units are involved in Canada.

The involved vehicles are equipped with a certain 3.5-liter V6 gasoline engine. The diaphragm material in the fuel pulsation dampers in this engine may harden over time and crack, causing fuel to leak. A fuel leak in the presence of an ignition source can increase the risk of a vehicle fire.

For all involved vehicles, Lexus dealers will replace the fuel delivery pipe with a new one containing improved pulsation dampers at no cost to customers. All known owners will receive a notification by first class mail starting in late August.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is subject to change over time.  For the most up-to-date Safety Recall information on Lexus vehicles, customers should check their vehicle’s status by visiting lexus.ca/recall and entering the Vehicle Identification Number (VIN). For any additional questions, customer support is also available by calling the Lexus Customer Service at 1-800-26-LEXUS (1-800-265-3987).
