- Scion booth “powering passion” with pop-up barber shop, great music, and new race car
MONTREAL, QC., (January 14, 2015) – Visitors to the Toyota and Scion booths at the 2015 Montreal International Auto Show can expect plenty of adrenaline-rushing excitement – from eye-popping concept vehicles to a pop-up barber shop offering stylish free haircuts.
Some of the vehicles at the Toyota booth Montreal drivers will want to spend time taking a close look at include:
- Toyota FT-1 – This will be the Canadian debut of this aggressive, track-focused concept car representing the sports coupe of the future (FT stands for “Future Toyota”). Uniquely fusing heart-pounding emotional excitement with Toyota’s traditional “rational” strengths, this striking vehicle looks as though it has been shaped by the wind, while offering an intimate cockpit.
- Toyota TS030 – This hybrid race car – with technology integrated into Toyota’s consumer hybrids – features a powertrain of the TS040 predecessor that enabled Toyota to become the first Japanese manufacturer to win the FIA World Endurance Championship. The car captures and re-distributes energy from braking, delivering a 300-horsepower hybrid boost.
- 2015 Toyota Prius c and Prius v – Imagined for the streets of a city like Montreal, the “c” – which stands for city – has been given a sportier new look for 2015. Meanwhile, the “v” – which stands for versatile and is the largest Prius in the family – also has a great new look for 2015, with revised front and rear styling and new colours.
“As the number-one selling nameplate in Quebec, we’re excited that visitors will experience Toyota’s new innovating vehicles and have some fun,” said Seiji Ichii, President and CEO, Toyota Canada Inc.
The Montreal show will also mark the Canadian debut of Toyota and Scion’s new auto show booths. It has been made fresher, brighter and clearer in focus. It reinforces how Toyota is committed to ensuring it builds a strong, emotional link to its customers.
Scion will also be offering plenty of fun for anyone visiting including: a pop-up barber shop where visitors can get a hair make-over, and special DJ features from the upcoming Villa Paradizo festival series, sponsored by Scion is sponsoring in 2015. In addition, Scion racer Pat Cyr will be at the show with the new car he will be racing in 2015, which features a 2JZ-GTE engine that can generate up to 1,000 horsepower.
