Toyota Canada Inc. reports May sales
TORONTO, ON – June 1, 2010 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today reported May sales of 17,879 Toyota and Lexus cars, trucks and SUVs – down 16.1% from May 2009. Last month’s sales included 16,461 Toyota models (down 16.6%) and 1,418 Lexus luxury vehicles (down 10.6%).
Highlights for Toyota in May 2010 (versus May 2009):
- 1,205 Toyota Sienna (up 80.4%)
- 277 Toyota 4Runner (up 361.7%)
- 58 Toyota Avalon (up 132.0%)
- 275 Toyota Prius (up 42.5%)
- 2,225 Canadian-built Toyota Matrix (up 12.8%)
Highlights for Lexus in May 2010 (versus May 2009):
- 45 Lexus GX 460 (up 80.0%)
- 87 Lexus RX 450h (up 61.1%)
