POWERTRAIN
 
  • The 2012 Toyota Yaris Hatch features a compact and lightweight, yet powerful, 1.5 litre four-cylinder engine – with aluminum alloy block, Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) and sequential multiport electronic fuel injection – delivering up to 106 hp and a Tier 2 Bin 5 emissions rating.
  • A choice of two transmissions and European-inspired suspension (Macpherson gas struts, coil springs, stabilizer bar up front, and torsion beam with coil springs at the rear) delivers a responsive driving experience and combined city-highway fuel efficiency of just 6.0 litres per 100 km with the five-speed manual transmission. Those who choose the four-speed auto Super ECT with overdrive will also enjoy impressive efficiency, at just 6.2 litres per 100 km combined.
