TORONTO, Ontario (February 16th, 2024) – Toyota Canada’s commitment to offering Canadians a full range of stylish, well-engineered vehicles that represent excellent value for money has earned the company multiple 2024 AutoTrader Awards. AutoTrader announced the awards as part of the events at the 2024 Canadian International Auto Show in Toronto.

The 2024 AutoTrader Awards crowned Toyota as Canada’s Most Trusted Automotive Brand after tallying the results of a national survey of Canadian drivers. Of those asked, more drivers said they trust Toyota than any other brand.

“Canadians shopping for a new Toyota today have a variety of options with more than 24 models to choose from, so they rely upon the knowledge of experts like the journalists who write for AutoTrader,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “We’re thrilled to have received these important awards, while each win is an honour, being named Canada’s Most Trusted Automotive Brand for the second straight year is particularly gratifying.”

Toyota is committed to offering Canadians value for money. That means building high-quality vehicles that are dependable, reliable, and safe, ensuring every vehicle is stylish, fun to drive, and packed with features.

The judges at AutoTrader voted for the Toyota Prius and Prius Prime as the 2024 Best Overall Car, and the Prius Prime as the 2024 Best Overall Green Car.

The Prius started the electrification revolution almost a quarter-century ago it quickly became the global ambassador for sustainable mobility – and today, the Prius family continues to raise the bar with an unbeatable blend of style, the driving fun of a well-engineered car, the efficiency of Toyota’s industry-leading electrification expertise – in a choice of hybrid or plug-in hybrid configurations – and with the intelligence of our advanced connectivity and active safety technologies.

In addition, Toyota Canada takes home the following category wins in the 2024 AutoTrader Awards:

  • Best Mainstream Performance Car for the Toyota GR Corolla
  • Best Mid-Size SUV for the Toyota Grand Highlander
  • Best Minivan for the Toyota Sienna
  • Best Hybrid Vehicle for the Toyota Prius
  • Best Plug In Hybrid Electric Vehicle for the Toyota Prius Prime
