Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota vehicles

TORONTO, Ontario – February 21, 2024 – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain 2023 and 2024 model-year Toyota Camry and Camry Hybrid vehicles in Canada. Approximately 68 vehicles are involved in this recall in Canada.

The two head restraints on the 60% portion of the rear fold down seats in the involved vehicles may have poor welds on a bracket that can cause the vehicles not to comply with a federal safety standard. This can affect head restraint performance and increase the risk of injury during certain collisions.

For all applicable vehicles, Toyota dealers will replace the 60% rear seat back frame sub-assembly at no cost to customers.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2024.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. For the most up-to-date Safety Recall Information on Toyota and Lexus vehicles, customers should check their vehicle’s status by visiting Toyota.ca/recall or Lexus.ca/recall and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
