Toyota Canada joins with Wanderlust Whistler to inspire mindful living

  • Festival of social good offers calming yoga, delicious locally-grown food and innovative eco-friendly transportation from Toyota
  • Iconic Prius family of hybrids on display and available for test drives
TORONTO, ON., (July 29, 2013) – When people gather in beautiful Whistler, B.C. for Wanderlust this weekend, they can expect a soul-nurturing experience, with everything from yoga, meditation and inspirational music to exhilarating outdoor expeditions. It’s also an opportunity to learn about the latest advancements in adopting a truly green lifestyle, including sustainable transportation options.

As an environmental leader, Toyota Canada will have a major presence at the event, which attracted more than 12,000 participants last year.

“Whether it’s offering vehicles that lead the way in fuel efficiency and low emissions, operating our offices and dealerships with sustainability as a priority, or getting involved in our local communities to help protect the environment, Toyota Canada is committed to building a greener, sustainable future,” said Sandy Di Felice, Director, Toyota Canada Inc.

As Wanderlust strives toward creating a society based on mindful living, Toyota is doing its part by responding to the world’s need for affordable, fuel-efficient and low-emission vehicles through constant innovation in both conventional and advanced technologies. It’s estimated that in Canada, Toyota and Lexus hybrids have reduced CO2 emissions by more than 380,000 tons and saved over 163 million litres of gasoline.

Attendees will be able to visit the Toyota tents and test drive members of the Prius family of hybrids including the Prius v, Prius c, and Prius Plug-in, as well as a Highlander Hybrid.

Wanderlust runs from August 1-4 at various venues within Whister. For more information, visit whistler.wanderlustfestival.com.
