Martin Gilbert is Director of the Lexus Division at Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI), responsible for all aspects of Lexus brand retail strategy, new vehicle sales, marketing and aftermarket operations in Canada.He uses the Dealer partnership approach with Lexus Dealers from coast to coast to coast to ensurethe ultimate experience for Guests.
Martin started his career with TCI in 1989 and has in-depth knowledge of the Canadian automotive industry as well as extensive experience withToyota's Canadian operations. He has held a number of leadership roles in different parts of the business, including parts distribution, Extra Care Protection , vehicle distribution, national sales, Toyota University, service retention, field sales operations, Atlantic region, sales and inventory planning, corporate strategyand communication, and Dealer standards and market representation.
In partnership with Toyota dealers from coast to coast to coast, Martin helped launch the new Toyota Dealer Branding Program. Most recently, he led the Business Innovation teamat TCI, developing customer-centric retail solutions in an agile and collaborative environment to ensure the best automotive experience in Canada.
Martin is a graduate of the Schulich School of Business at York University. He also holds degrees in Training and Development and Automotive Service from the International Automobile School.
