For the 2009 model year, Toyota offers an upgraded V6 base model, new options package, and a fuel-friendly powerful 4-cylinder model to enhance Highlander’s forceful styling, generous performance and segment-leading utility.

SPECIFICATIONS

• A new 2.7-litre 4-cylinder engine delivers more power while using less fuel:
• Powerfully fuel-efficient, at up to 187 hp @5,800 RPM and using just 10.4/7.3/9.0 litres per 100 km (city/highway/combined)

Highlander V6 models deliver up to 270 horsepower and 248 lb-ft of torque, towing up to 1,588 kg (5,000 lbs). V6 models deliver up to 12.3/8.8/10.8 litres per 100km (city/highway/combined).

 Standard features new for the 2009 Highlander V6 include:

• 3.5” LCD display with back-up camera
• Power rear door with jam protection and flip-up rear glass hatch
• 8-way power driver’s seat
• Premium cloth seats
• In-dash 6-disc CD changer
• Fog lamps

MODELS and OPTIONS

• New for the 2009 model year, a 2.7 litre 4-cylinder, front-wheel-drive Highlander model delivers outstanding fuel efficiency plus an impressive power and 186 lb-ft of torque at 4,100 RPM. Mated to an all-new six-speed electronically-controlled automatic transmission with intelligence (ECT-i) to deliver V6-like performance, it will remain crossover-capable with a towing capacity of 1,588 kg (3,500 lbs).
• Highlander V6 may also be ordered with a newly available Leather Package, which adds leather seats, heated driver and front passenger seats, and an Automatic Headlamp System.
