The 2012 Camry is a new era sedan built upon and reflective of 30 years of Toyota's automotive intelligence and experience. Built and designed in North America, with North Americans in mind, the Camry continues to be the car customers have come to trust and respect with the design and performance Canadians love. Toyota has expanded the Camry Hybrid lineup to two models for 2012, then extensively updated the Camry Hybrid – from extra horsepower and new exterior and interior designs to updated standard features and options packages – to deliver even more value for the hybrid edition of one of Canada’s most popular mid-size sedans and continues to deliver class-leading fuel economy and environmental benefits.
 
POWERTRAIN
 
  • The 2012 Toyota Camry Hybrid features a 2.5L Atkinson cycle four-cylinder gas engine and continuously variable transmission.
  • The engine features Variable Valve Timing with intelligence (VVT-i) Toyota’s Electronic Throttle Control System with intelligence (ETCS-i), and globally recognized Toyota Hybrid Synergy Drive technology.
  • The 2012 Camry will achieve more than a 30 per cent improvement in fuel economy over the previous generation
  • The suspension system – featuring Macpherson gas struts, coil springs, and stabilizer bars front and rear, plus independent dual-link geometry at the rear – works with highly-responsive and efficient electric power steering to maximize ride comfort and control.
  • Vehicle Dynamics Integrated Management.
