Trucks like the 2015 Toyota 4Runner – the rugged, go-anywhere mid-size SUV.

The 4Runner legend is built on performance, which is why every 2015 Toyota 4Runner is built around a powerful yet efficient 4.0-litre V6. Generating 270 peak horsepower and up to 278 lb-ft of torque.

A five-speed super ECT automatic transmission with overdrive, lock-up torque converter and transmission cooler delivers confident acceleration, endurance under any weather and driving conditions, and a fuel efficiency rating of 12.8 litres per 100 kilometres (city/highway combined)*.

With a 2,268 kg (5,000 lb) towing capability, all 4Runners are standard equipped with a tow package – including heavy duty tow-hitch receiver, 4+7 pin wiring harness, trailer brake controller pre-wire, supplemental transmission cooler and transmission fluid temperature gauge.

The 2015 4Runner features styling cues distinctive to each of three available grades: SR5, Trail Edition, and Limited. SR5 and Trail Grades are muscular and rugged – a nod to the model’s well-earned off-road reputation. The exterior design of the Limited grade is also aggressive, but with premium details.

Inside, the 4Runner – available in five-passenger and seven-passenger configurations – establishes the benchmark for refinement in the mid-size SUV category. Second-row seats slide and recline. Seven-passenger models feature impressive legroom for 3rd row passengers, plus a one-touch walk-in function on the second-row seats to make getting into and out of the back seats an easy experience. Like the exterior, the interior features details and styling cues that highlight the attitude of each grade.

Safety is always a priority on a Toyota, and every 2015 4Runner features eight standard airbags, active front headrests with whiplash protection for driver and front passenger, three-point lap and shoulder belts for all seating positions, anchor points for child seats and child protector rear door locks, a direct tire pressure monitoring system, and more. As with every new Toyota since 2011, the 2015 4Runner is standard equipped with the six active safety technologies of the Star Safety System: Antilock Brake System, Brake Assist, Electronic Brake-force Distribution, Vehicle Stability Control, Traction Control and Smart Stop Technology work together to help drivers avoid potential accident situations.

2015 Toyota 4Runner SR5 V6 (MSRP starting at $39,060)

The top-tier, Limited grade features full-time 4WD with X-REAS Sport Suspension and 20” aluminum alloy wheels – including a full-size spare tire.
