Bring On The Night: Special Nightshade Edition Headlines 2021 Lineup Of The Toyota C-HR

All 2021 models enhanced with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 as standard

TORONTO, ONTARIO – September 3, 2020 – Get in and get noticed, in the Toyota C-HR – the fun-to-drive head-turning hatch that defies convention. New for 2021, Toyota offers Canadians a limited production Nightshade edition, with unique details that make the high-style C-HR even more distinct.

“The C-HR is the compact crossover that stands out from the crowd, and this year we are excited to give it the Nightshade treatment,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Always ready to make a statement, the 2021 C-HR combines great looks and a delightful personality, making every trip a fun adventure.”

The C-HR is anything but status quo and the limited production Nightshade Edition makes that more apparent than ever. Available in four colours – Black Sand Pearl, Blizzard Pearl, Supersonic Red or Magnetic Grey, all with black roofs – the C-HR Nightshade Edition also features unique black detailing, including 18” alloy wheels, door handles, and emblem overlays. A front chin spoiler completes the picture.

The C-HR’s good looks start with diamond-cut bodylines and a striking grille design capped by LED headlamps. Inside, style meets comfort with a five-person cabin featuring a piano black dash, dual-zone automatic climate control, 4.2” multi-information display and 60/40 split folding rear seats. The six-speaker display audio system features an 8” screen, advanced voice recognition, Bluetooth connectivity and compatibility with both Apple CarPlay™ and Android Auto™.

Under the hood, a spirited yet efficient 2.0-litre four-cylinder VALVEMATIC engine delivers 144 horsepower worth of driving fun plus a fuel efficiency rating of 8.7L/100km city and 7.5L/100km highway. A well-balanced design and advanced handling systems help put the driver in control in every situation, while a multi-setting Drive Mode Select system lets drivers tailor the C-HR’s responsiveness and handling to match the weather and their mood.

A long list of standard safety systems starts with Toyota Safety Sense 2.0 – a bundle of active safety technologies that help extend the driver’s awareness and ability to avoid collisions, or mitigate their effect. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a back-up camera, tire pressure monitor system, Hill Start Assist Control and 10 air bags.

The C-HR is available in a choice of trim levels, as follows:
