Toyota Corolla and Lexus IS among Chinese-Canadians’ top 10 cars

TORONTO, ON., (May 23, 2014) – The Toyota Corolla and Lexus IS have been chosen as two of their top 10 cars, in a vote conducted by AutoNerve® Magazine, the first and only automotive publication in the Chinese language across Canada.

For the annual Chinese-Canadian Consumers Top 10 Car Choice Awards™, readers and car consumers from Canada’s Chinese community were invited to vote for their favourites of the 2014 model year. The voting was conducted via a ballot that was contained in AutoNerve’s March/April issue, as well as on site at the 2014 Vancouver International Auto Show, including with ballots contained in the Chinese edition of the auto show’s official program. Votes were also cast online using an online survey tool.

The winners were featured in AutoNerve’s May-June edition.

“We are proud to receive this affirmation from consumers about the excellence of our vehicles, which span two different segments of the market – the Corolla as a compact car and the IS as a luxury car,” said Larry Hutchinson, Vice President of Sales Toyota Canada Inc.

The 2014 Toyota Corolla – the eleventh generation of the world’s best-selling car nameplate – includes dramatically amplified elements of style, design, quality and craftsmanship while building upon the stellar Corolla reputation for reliability, efficiency and function.

The 2014 Lexus IS has a new, bold style – immediately apparent from the signature Lexus spindle grille and the LED daytime running lamps. And what the style promises, the sporty performance delivers – combining exceptionally agile handling and immediate, accurate response to driver commands.
