Toyota Extends Overtime Adjustment Due to Flooding in Thailand


November 2, 2011 - Flooding in Thailand continues to necessitate adjustments in Toyota’s production hours.   To conserve parts, Toyota will extend its suspension of overtime at all of its North American vehicle assembly plants through the week of Nov. 7.  Toyota also will not produce vehicles on Saturday, Nov.  12.
 
Toyota announced last week that it was suspending overtime and Saturday production at its North American assembly plants through Nov. 5.
 
Toyota Motor Engineering & Manufacturing, North America is working closely with suppliers to develop and implement countermeasures.
