Sail into the final days of summer with a free night at the movies

TORONTO, ON., (August 13, 2013) – For three nights in August, enjoy an outing unlike any other, as Sugar Beach will be transformed into Toronto’s largest outdoor theatre playing three of your favourite classic movies.
Sail-in Cinema™ is the world’s first two-sided floating movie experience. It’s a family-oriented event that runs August 15-17 and is organized by the Toronto Port Authority. Toyota Canada is the event’s platinum sponsor.
With a two-sided screen placed atop a barge in Toronto Harbour, people can watch the movies from their boats or from the shoreline. Those on land just need to bring their own chair, cushion or blanket – the first 500 people through the doors each night can sit in a specially-made portable lounger, courtesy of Toyota. To get your free movie ticket, simply visit, click on the movie poster and the tickets will be emailed to you.
Toyota will have a lineup of vehicles on display, the all-new 2013 RAV4 will be available for test drives, a 60-second ad will air prior to the movie, and there will be fun trivia questions about Toyota Canada on the big screen as well. In addition, a RAV4 “plinko” game will be set up too, complete with prizes to be given away. All you have to do is place a RAV4 “plinko” chip along the top of the board and watch the chip land into a prize slot along the bottom of the board. There will even be an opportunity to try out the brand new RAV4 “augmented reality” app.
Sugar Beach is located at 25 Dockside Drive, just east of the foot of Jarvis Street. For more information about the event,
