This holiday season your kids can draw their “dream car” and dream of winning big

Entries expected from more than 70 countries and regions for 2014 Toyota Dream Car Art Contest
TORONTO, ON., (December 16, 2013) – If you have a child with an idea of what their “dream car” would look like, Toyota Canada wants that vision put to paper this holiday season.
Parents of young Canadians are invited to submit entries as part of Toyota’s annual “Dream Car Art Contest.” Last year’s contest drew over 600,000 entries from more than 70 countries and regions, including a Canadian entry that was selected as one of 30 global finalists and won an all-expenses paid trip to Japan.
“It was wonderful last year to have Canada participate for the first time in this unique contest, and particularly exciting because we had a global finalist,” said Seiji Ichii, President and Chief Executive Officer, Toyota Canada Inc. “It’s a fun way to see the innovation of young people from throughout Canada and to demonstrate to them that we believe in and support their dreams.”
Open to parents of children aged 15 years old and younger from anywhere in the country, Canada’s winners will be selected in three age categories: under 8 years, 8-11 years, and 12-15 years. Submissions can be sent in by mail anytime between today and March 7.
After that, all Canadian entries will be judged and three winners will be selected for each age category. All nine winning entries will receive a 7-inch 8GB tablet device (with Wi-Fi). In addition, their art submissions will represent Canada in the world contest. Ten entries for each age category will be selected as global finalists. Each global finalist (and their guardian) is invited to visit Japan on an all-expenses-paid trip to attend the award ceremony, which will be held later in 2014.
Drawings can be created with any type of medium, including paint, markers or crayons. No digital creations are permitted. All artwork must be made on tabloid (A3) size paper (11 X 17 inches) and needs to feature a coloured background. The contest is open to all residents of Canada. The submissions will be reviewed by a panel of judges and analyzed on the basis of overall concept, originality, design and use of colour. Full entry terms and conditions can be found at
