TORONTO, ON., (December 22, 2014) – When it comes to diverting materials from landfill sites, no effort is going to waste from Toyota’s people in Canada.
Minimizing waste and conserving natural resources are fundamental to Toyota's goal of producing vehicles efficiently. Toyota team members and associates focus on reducing all kinds of waste — from office trash to cafeteria scraps and industrial waste — using the practices we all know: reduce, reuse and recycle
Everyone is pitching in to help. At this year’s annual Earth Week corporate community clean-up, we collected 48 per cent more yard waste than last year at our Toronto head office.
There are 32 Toyota North American facilities that divert more than 90 per cent of all waste from landfill, incineration or the environment. A key part of that comes from conscientious efforts such as reducing packaging waste.
