Toyota in Canada Aids Support of Alberta Fires Relief

TORONTO, ON., (May 6, 2016) – In efforts to aid communities affected by the Alberta Fires, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) and Toyota Financial Services (TFS) today committed $100,000 in support of relief efforts in the province by the Canadian Red Cross.

“When communities at home are in a time of need, it’s important for all of us to come together and lend a helping hand,” said Larry Hutchinson, President and CEO, Toyota Canada Inc. “Our hearts go out to all those individuals, their communities and businesses affected by the disaster in Alberta this week.”

“We are extending our support through the Canadian Red Cross as they assist the families and businesses affected by the wild fires in Alberta,” added Larry Baldesarra, President of Toyota Financial Services. “We commend the huge efforts of Albertans and Canadians who have demonstrated generosity and compassion to those in need at this difficult time.”

The financial assistance will be used by the Canadian Red Cross, an organization dedicated to providing humanitarian support to Canadian communities in need. Through the help of volunteers who donate their time and financial support, the Canadian Red Cross continues to improve the lives of people in Canada and abroad.
