Toyota Contributes to Flood Relief Efforts

• Toyota Canada Inc. and Toyota Financial Services donate $50,000 to Canadian Red Cross Spring Floods Appeal

 
TORONTO, ONTARIO, (May 12, 2017) – As extensive flooding in several provinces across Canada is forcing thousands of people from their homes, Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) and Toyota Financial Services (TFS) are contributing $50,000 to help the Canadian Red Cross with their ongoing relief efforts in the affected communities.

“At Toyota Canada Inc., we are committed to supporting the hundreds of Canadian communities where we live and work, and this starts with providing immediate support in times of need,” said Larry Hutchinson, President and CEO, Toyota Canada Inc. “During this difficult time, our thoughts are with the people – our families, friends and neighbours – who have been affected by the flooding.”

“We commend the work that the Canadian Red Cross is doing on the ground as they provide relief to individuals, families and communities impacted by the floods, and we extend our support to these efforts,” added Darren Cooper, President of Toyota Financial Services. “It’s important for all of us to come together and lend a helping hand to those affected by disaster.”

The financial assistance will be donated to the Canadian Red Cross, an organization dedicated to providing humanitarian support to Canadian communities in need. Through the help of volunteers who have been activated across the country, the Canadian Red Cross is providing a variety of services to meet the needs of communities affected by the flooding, including food shelter and reception and information.
