TORONTO, ON – June 14, 2018 – Effortlessly sophisticated and stylish, the all-new, 2019 Toyota Avalon is the high-calibre, design-centric, technologically-savvy mid-premium sedan like nothing else on the road.
“Even as many other automakers abandon the segment, Toyota is committed to giving Canadians new reasons to get behind the wheel of a sedan – with an all-new Avalon that’s in a class by itself,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “Avalon’s daring new look is matched by impressive engineering to deliver dynamic performance – including best-in-class handling. At the same time, it tops the segment for roominess, safety and efficiency – and packs a full complement of powerful, easy-to-use multimedia technologies.”
The new Avalon is available in two models – the all-new, athletic XSE and the more opulent Limited. The models are clearly differentiated in design and features to appeal to different tastes – but both deliver remarkable value for Canadian drivers.

A new TNGA-developed 3.5L Atkinson cycle V6 generates up to 301 horsepower and 267 lb-ft of torque. It works in concert with an all-new, TNGA-derived eight-speed Direct Shift automatic transmission that delivers smooth, precise shifts and on-demand power to the front wheels. The Drive Mode Select system features Normal, Eco and Sport settings to match the driver’s mood and road conditions.
The new Avalon is also built around an impressive package of active and passive safety technologies headlined by Toyota Safety Sense P.
