With the power to run in either EV Mode, EV Auto Mode or Hybrid Mode, Prius Prime strikes a harmonious balance between necessity and desire.
New upgrades for 2020 include:
Prius Prime is the most efficient Toyota hybrid yet, with a combined fuel consumption of 1.8Le/100km. When the charge has run out, Prius Prime has a manufacturer-estimated 4.3L/100 km combined fuel consumption. Designed with intelligent tech, premium materials and thoughtful engineering, Prius Prime represents the next step of Toyota’s continuous quest to reach more efficient mobility with less range anxiety — without compromise. With its manufacturer-estimated 1,035-kilometre total driving range and 40-kilometre EV range, Prius Prime continues to raise the efficiency bar to help challenge what’s possible. The powertrain is a Toyota first, thanks to a dual motor drive system that improves acceleration in EV Mode for a fun drive.
Despite the new additional standard features, the 2020 Prius Prime starts at $32,990, same MSRP as the 2019 model. The 2020 Prius Prime Upgrade package starts at $34,990 ($455 less than the 2019 model) and the 2020 Prius Prime Technology starts at $37,990 ($580 less than the 2019 model).
