TORONTO, ON – APRIL 2, 2019 – The all-new 2020 Toyota Corolla is better than ever – and offered at suggested prices that mean Canadians can have more of what they love, including greater value for their driving dollar.
“This next-generation Toyota Corolla is ready to demonstrate yet again why the Corolla nameplate has endured for more than 50 years, and become a vehicle loved globally, including by millions of Canadians,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice-President, Toyota Canada Inc. “We’ve transformed the Corolla – including adding the first Corollas in Canada with a gas-electric hybrid powertrain and we’ve priced all models to make it easy for Canadians to take advantage of the many benefits this next-generation Corolla has to offer.”
Every 2020 Toyota Corolla comes with unbelievable upgrades over previous generation models that can be seen from every corner of the bumper-to-bumper makeover. The enhancements start with the very platform around which it is built, as the 2020 model year introduces the Toyota New Global Architecture (TNGA) to the Corolla sedan. TNGA tightly integrates Toyota’s design and engineering teams to optimize the platform and powertrain. This change is immediately evident in bolder styling, including a lower profile and wider stance. TNGA also fine-tunes weight distribution, boost body rigidity and optimizes the driver’s location in the vehicle to enhance handling for a more engaging and responsive, yet still comfortable, driving experience. And, every 2020 Corolla sets new standards for safety, with all models equipped with Toyota Safety Sense™ 2.0 – the second generation of Toyota’s revolutionary bundle of active safety technologies that enhance driver capabilities.
