TORONTO, Ontario (October 31, 2024) – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) today announced executive changes, effective as of January 1, 2025.
Retirements:
Larry Hutchinson, President and Chief Executive Officer, is retiring effective December 31, 2024. In his role as President and Chief Executive Officer, Larry has overseen Toyota Canada’s continued growth since 2016.
Promotions:
Cyril Dimitris, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, is appointed President and Chief Executive Officer of Toyota Canada Inc. In this position, Cyril will oversee all aspects of TCI’s business.
Robert (Bob) Tsang, Director of Toyota Sales and Field Operations, is appointed to Vice President, Sales and Marketing of Toyota Canada Inc. In this position, Bob will oversee all aspects of sales and marketing in Canada, and will be reporting directly to Cyril Dimitris, President and Chief Executive Officer.
These changes demonstrate Toyota’s commitment to the continued growth of its business in Canada, positioning the company for sustainable, long-term growth in North America.

Larry Hutchinson
President and Chief Executive Officer
Toyota Canada Inc.
Larry Hutchinson is President and Chief Executive Officer at Toyota Canada Inc., responsible for all aspects of sales and marketing in Canada based out of the head office in Toronto, Ontario. Previous to this role, Larry was Vice President of Sales and Marketing, overseeing Dealer Standards and Representation, Lexus Division, Marketing & Customer Experience Management, Sales & Inventory Planning, Scion Division, and Toyota Division teams.
Larry began his career at TCI as an analyst in 1986. He was involved in the launch of Lexus in Canada as a Lexus District Sales Manager and then moved to manage Vehicle Distribution Operations.
Previous roles also include National Manager of Toyota Sales and Marketing and National Manager of Lexus Division.
Larry then assumed the role of Director, overseeing the Product Planning, Customization and Dealer Process groups. He was responsible for several key areas, such as Advanced Product Planning, Product Planning, Distribution, Sales Planning, and Customization Development and Marketing. He also managed dealer-related sales processes, such as the Toyota Certified Used Vehicles program.
Larry holds a Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Wilfrid Laurier University.
Cyril Dimitris
Vice President of Sales and Marketing
Toyota Canada Inc.
Cyril Dimitris is Vice President, Sales and Marketing at Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI). Prior to this role, Cyril was Director of Lexus and Scion Divisions, responsible for all aspects of those operations including sales, aftersales and marketing. Prior to his responsibilities relating to vehicle sales, he was Director of Finance & Administration, including responsibility for Finance and Accounting, Corporate Strategy, Information Services, Legal, Human Resources and Administration. Over the course of his long career at TCI, beginning in 1988, he has led several other areas including Dealer Technology and Business Innovation.
Cyril has served as a volunteer Board Member on several NGOs during his tenure at TCI, including that of The Corporation of Massey Hall & Roy Thompson Hall (for which he continues to serve as Honorary Governor), Scientists In Schools, and The Gestalt Institute of Toronto (for which he is a current Board Member). He holds a Bachelor of Commerce and Economics degree from the University of Toronto and is a designated CPA, CMA.
Robert (Bob) Tsang
Director of Toyota Sales and Field Operations

Robert joined Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) at its head office in Toronto, Ontario in 2008. During his tenure, he has held a variety of management positions responsible for several areas of TCI’s business, including demand and supply, product, pricing, corporate strategy, connected vehicle technologies, and advanced powertrains. Most recently, Robert led TCI’s Lexus Division where he was responsible for all sales, parts and service, and marketing. In 2021, Robert moved to his current role as Director of Toyota Sales and Field Operations.
Robert began his career in the automotive industry as an engineer, working on several new vehicle programs. He holds an undergraduate degree in applied science and graduate degrees in both engineering and business management.
