Best February on record for Toyota Canada Inc.

Electrified vehicle sales represented 44.3% of overall sales in February 2024

Record February sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada, the Toyota RAV4

 

TORONTO, Ontario – March 1, 2024 – Record-setting electrified vehicles sales continue in February for Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI), representing 44.3% of overall sales, contributing to record February sales for both brands.

Electrified vehicles represented 42.9% of all Toyota Division units sold in February 2024, up 89.3% year over year.

Electrified vehicles also represented 55.3% of all Lexus Division units sold in February 2024, up 30.9% year over year.

A total of 1,443 Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV, comprised of EV, PHEV and FCEV) units were among the electrified Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold in February.

 

TCI’s best February on record

Overall, TCI sold a record 17,453 vehicles in February 2024, up 45.0% from February 2023.

Toyota division saw record February sales with 15,386 units sold, up 54.1% from February 2023. This includes a February record for overall Toyota RAV4 sales of 6,932 units, up 54.4% year over year. Corolla Hybrid, Corolla Cross, Tundra, bZ4X, Venza, Sequoia and Sienna also saw February records.

Lexus division also saw record February sales with 2,067 units sold, up 0.8% from February 2023. This includes February records for UX hybrid, NX hybrid and Plug-in Hybrid, as well as RX hybrid.

 

Toyota vehicles assembled in Canada in high demand

February sales of the best-selling passenger vehicle in Canada, the Toyota RAV4, hit a monthly record, up 54.4% year over year. Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-made Lexus NX and RX also saw strong February sales, led by record sales of the NX Hybrid and RX Hybrid versions.
