Toyota Canada Releases September and Q3 Sales Results

TORONTO, Ontario – October 1, 2024 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) continues to see strong demand for its electrified vehicles, reaching a record of 31,994 electrified units sold in Q3, up 15.1% year-over-year.

These electrified vehicles sales represented 57.3% of overall Q3 TCI sales.

For the Toyota Division, electrified vehicles sales represented 57.7% of all units sold in Q3 2024 while electrified vehicles represented 55.0% of all Lexus Division units sold in Q3 2024.

A total of 8,649 Zero-Emission Vehicles (ZEV, comprised of EV, PHEV and FCEV) units were among the electrified Toyota and Lexus vehicles sold in Q3, representing a record quarter for ZEV sales volume. These strong ZEV sales were helped by record quarters for Toyota RAV4 Prime, bZ4X, and Lexus NX 450h+.

For September, electrified sales represented 57.6% of overall TCI September sales. For the Toyota Division, electrified vehicles sales represented 58.3% of all units sold in September 2024 while electrified vehicles represented 53.0% of all Lexus Division units sold in September 2024.

Strong Year-to-Date Sales

Year-to-date (YTD), TCI has sold 180,621 vehicles, up 7.2% year over year. Toyota division saw YTD sales of 158,316 units sold, up 9.6% year over year. Lexus division saw YTD sales of 22,305 units sold, down 7.3% year over year.

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 55,811 vehicles during Q3, down 8.4% year over year and sold 18,799 vehicles in September 2024, down 12.0% from September 2023.

Toyota division saw Q3 sales of 48,483 units sold, down 8.7% year over year and September sales of 16,142 units, down 14.0% from September 2023.

Lexus division saw Q3 sales of 7,328 units sold, down 6.4% year over year and September sales of 2,657 units, up 3.1% from September 2023.
