Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota and Lexus vehicles

TORONTO, Ontario – February 21, 2024 – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota and Lexus vehicles in Japan, North America and Asia. The recall involves certain Lexus LS, LC and ES in Canada. Approximately 536 vehicles are involved in this recall in Canada.

Due to a software programming issue, the rearview image may not display within the period of time required by certain safety regulations after the driver shifts the vehicle into reverse, increasing the risk of a crash while backing the vehicle.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota and Lexus dealers will update the software for the Panoramic View Monitor system at no cost to customers.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late April 2024.
