TORONTO, May 7th, 2025 – It’s bold, stylish, and exclusively electrified to deliver high-torque driving fun. The 2026 Toyota Crown provides a unique offering by blending elements that are typically found with both sedans and crossover SUVs, like its coupe-like roofline and its higher ride height.
“The Crown is one of the longest standing nameplates in Toyota’s history and this premium sedan demonstrates why. Built with master craftsmanship, sleek and sophisticated styling and matched by advanced, all-wheel drive hybrid performance, the Toyota Crown redefines what it means to be a sedan in today’s market,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc.
The Toyota Crown expresses a modern, minimalist aesthetic with strong bodylines that flow from front to back to emphasize its dignified appearance, and large alloy wheels to telegraph its sporty driving attitude. Standard features include a fixed panoramic moonroof, multi-beam LED headlamps, and full-width rear lighting, while Beyond Zero badging proclaims its exclusively-electrified credentials.
Inside, the Crown provides a cabin defined by exemplary comfort and attention to detail. The Crown features an island architecture that’s spacious yet puts everything within easy reach. Notable features include heated and ventilated front row seats, heated rear seats, and a leather-wrapped and heated steering wheel thoughtfully designed with intuitive controls for common vehicle functions.
Under the hood, the Crown is exclusively electrified, with a choice of two impressive hybrid powertrains.
Every Crown is a technology showcase – including the Toyota Multimedia system. This system is a bundle of smart connectivity technologies that keep drivers informed and safe while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction with the vehicle through sight, touch, and voice. The Crown’s technology package is rounded out with an 11-speaker JBL Clari-Fi Premium Audio system including 12.3” touchscreen display, a 12.3” multi-information display, five USB charging ports, and a wireless charging system for smart phones.
Every Crown also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – the newest version of Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies and capabilities. TSS supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera, eight airbags, the Blind Spot Monitor System with Safe Exit Assist, Intuitive Parking Assist with Auto Braking, and an electronic parking brake with brake hold.
Toyota Canada offers the Crown in two grades, as follows:
