Toyota Canada Releases January Sales Results

Record January electrified vehicle sales represented 55.8% of overall sales


TORONTO, February 3, 2025 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) continues to see strong demand for its electrified vehicles, reaching a January record of 7,892 electrified units sold in January 2025, representing 55.8% of overall January sales.

Both Toyota and Lexus divisions had record January electrified sales. For the Toyota Division, electrified vehicles sales represented 53.3% of all units sold in January 2025 while electrified vehicles represented 65.6% of all Lexus Division units sold in January 2025.

Numerous hybrid-powered nameplates saw strong demand during January, including:

  • Toyota Camry Hybrid (up 226.8%, monthly record)
  • Toyota Corolla Cross Hybrid (up 57.2%)
  • Toyota RAV4 Hybrid (up 30.2%, monthly record)
  • Toyota Highlander Hybrid (up 72.1%)
  • Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid (up 47.8%, monthly record)
  • Toyota Sequoia (up 9.4%, monthly record)
  • Toyota Sienna (up 26.6%)
  • Lexus UX (up 10.4%)
  • Lexus NX 450h+ (up 363%, best month ever)
  • Lexus RX Hybrid (up 28.7%, monthly record)
  • Lexus RX 450h+ (up 400.0%, best month ever)
  • Lexus TX Hybrid (up 80.5%, monthly record)

Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) sold 14,155 vehicles in January, down 8.8% from January 2024.

Toyota division saw January sales of 11,940 units sold, down 12.5% from January 2024.

Lexus division saw January sales of 2,215 units sold, up 18.3% from January 2024.
