TORONTO, August 1, 2025 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) July sales were up 28.6% YOY with 23,033 units sold, helped by strong demand for its electrified vehicles. Electrified sales reached a July record of 11,173 units, up 20.2% YOY.

Toyota Division had strong overall sales with 20,286 units sold, up 29.5% and reached record electrified sales in July, with 9,600 units, representing 47.3% of all Toyota units sold

For Toyota Division, strong demand in the sedan segment led the way for electrified sales. The Toyota Prius Plug-in set an all-time record, with 1,108 units, up 337.9% YOY. The Toyota Corolla Hybrid also set an all-time record with 1,940 units sold in July, up 179.9%, followed by another all-time record with the Toyota Camry Hybrid at 1,037 units sold, up 89.9%.

Lexus Division set record overall sales in July, with 2,747 units, up 22%, and electrified vehicles led the way with 1,573 units sold in July, up 35.5% YOY and representing 57.3% of all Lexus units sold.

The Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-made Lexus NX Hybrid also set a July record, up 77.8% and the Lexus RX Hybrid demonstrated strong demand, with 465 units sold in July. The Lexus RX Plug-in also had its best July record, up 40.6% YOY, and the Lexus NX plug-in sales remained strong with 113 units sold.

Numerous electrified nameplates saw strong demand during July, including:

-         Toyota bZ4X (best July record, up 8.5%)

-         Tacoma Hybrid (best July since launch)

-         Toyota Grand Highlander Hybrid (best July, up 24.2%)

-         Toyota Highlander Hybrid (best July, up 7.8%)

-         Sequoia Hybrid (best July, up 13.9%)

-         Lexus TX Hybrid (best July record)
