Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain Toyota vehicles

TORONTO, October 1, 2025 – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain MY 2025 Toyota Tacoma. Approximately 362 vehicles are involved in this recall in Canada.

A part used in the front driveshaft joints in the subject vehicles may not have been manufactured with the correct material and can deform or break while driving. If it deforms or breaks, the driver may not be able to complete a turn as intended. If the vehicle is a full-time 4WD model and the part breaks, the vehicle may move while the transmission is in “Park” without the electronic parking brake applied. This may increase the risk of a crash.

For all vehicles involved, Toyota dealers will inspect the front driveshaft assembly serial numbers and replace one or both of the assemblies if found to be from the affected production period at no charge to customers.

For all involved vehicles, Toyota will notify customers by late November 2025.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter.
