TORONTO, September 9^th, 2025 – The Corolla Hatchback is the compact hatch that delivers athletic performance, impressive fuel efficiency, and plenty of versatile space for friends and gear. And it comes with the proven track record that earns it a place in the legendary Corolla family. New for the 2026 model year, Toyota Canada offers a limited production Corolla Hatchback FX Edition, which finishes this very modern, urban savvy vehicle with a blast from the past.

The Corolla Hatchback goes all in with sporty hatchback styling that expresses the fun drive to come. Bi-beam LED headlamps accent an aggressive front fascia, the stance is low and wide to convey nimble handling, and the raked hatch with spoiler and aerodynamic lower body diffuser accentuate the rear. Every grade boasts its own distinct features such as wheel rims.

Inside, the Corolla Hatchback welcomes driver and up to four passengers to a comfortable cabin that’s surprisingly spacious and versatile, and features numerous finishing touches, like satin plated door handles and trim, and piano black centre cluster accents.

Under the hood, the Corolla Hatchback is built around a 2.0L 4-cylinder engine mated to a Direct Shift continuously variable transmission featuring sequential shift mode and steering wheel-mounted paddle shifters. This generates 169 peak horsepower for spirited performance while also clocking an impressive fuel efficiency of 6.8 L / 100 km (city/highway combined).

Every Corolla Hatchback is headlined by the Toyota Multimedia system. This bundle of smart connectivity technologies helps keep drivers informed while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE features the Toyota Multimedia system with Service Connect, Safety Connect, and Remote Connect services, plus an eight-inch screen and six speakers. Other features on this model include fabric upholstery, the Toyota Smart Key System with Push Button Start, automatic air conditioning, a 4.2-inch multi-information display, and 15-inch steel wheels.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE Plus upgrades the SE trim with 16-inch alloy wheels, heated front seats, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and the Blind Spot Monitor system with Safe Exit Assist.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback SE Upgrade enhances on the SE Plus trim level, adding larger, 18-inch alloy wheels in a dark grey finish, a heated steering wheel, and a wireless charging dock for personal electronics.

The 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback XSE builds on the SE Upgrade, adding sport fabric seats with leatherette trim, a power adjustable driver’s seat, an eight-speaker JBL audio system, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, dual zone air conditioning, and fog lamps. The Toyota Multimedia system is also upgraded, adding the Drive Connect service.

New this year, the 2026 Toyota Corolla Hatchback FX Edition injects this modern hatchback with the spirit of the legendary 1987 Corolla FX16. Based on the SE grade, the limited production (150 units for Canada) FX Edition starts with a clean white paint finish, then adds a black, vented sport wing for aggressive flair and enhanced aerodynamics, plus 18-inch gloss white alloy wheels with black lug nuts, and a heritage inspired rear badge. Inside, Toyota enhances the cabin with heated sport seats with suede inserts, a heated and leather-wrapped steering wheel, and an eight-speaker JBL audio system. The cabin features bright orange stitching accents – including on the seats, steering wheel, and shifter boot. Other upgrades include a power adjustable driver’s seat, a 7-inch digital gauge cluster, a wireless charging dock for personal electronics, and the Blind Spot Monitor system with Safe Exit Assist.
