TORONTO, April 16, 2026 – For the second year in a row, Toyota has been recognized by Canadians as one of the country’s most respected companies, according to the 2026 Leger Reputation Study.

The annual study also named Toyota the #1 most reputable automotive brand in Canada for the ninth consecutive year. In addition, Toyota was ranked fourth overall on Leger’s “Employer Score” ranking, which reflects the companies Canadians would most like to work for.

Now in its 29th year, The Reputation Study by Leger  is considered a benchmark for measuring corporate reputation in Canada and tracking how it evolves over time. This year, Leger surveyed more than 38,000 Canadians to gather their perspectives on 334 companies across 29 different sectors.

“Toyota’s strong showing in this year’s Reputation Study underscores how much Canadians value brands that are dependable, relevant and trusted,” said Lisa Covens, Senior Vice-President at Leger. “In 2026, for the ninth consecutive year, Toyota ranked as Canada’s top automotive brand and moved up to #6 overall among the country’s most admired companies. It is a clear sign that Toyota continues to connect with Canadians through reliability, value and consistent performance.”

“Toyota is honoured to once again be recognized by Canadians as one of the country’s most reputable companies in Leger’s Reputation Study,” said Cyril Dimitris, President and CEO at Toyota Canada. “It reflects the trust Canadians place in us, and we remain focused on delivering great customer experiences, building high-quality vehicles, and continuing to contribute positively to the communities we serve.”
