TORONTO, October 19, 2026 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has been recognized today by Canadian Black Book (CBB) with eight Best Retained Value Awards for 2026.

Toyota’s wins include the Overall Brand Award in the “Mainstream” category for the tenth year in a row.

Canadian Black Book’s Best Retained Value Awards recognize vehicles that retain the highest percentage of their original manufacturer’s suggested retail price (MSRP) after four years. For 2026, the CBB program analyzed 2023 model year vehicles in 16 different categories, plus four Overall Brand categories.

“We’re honoured to receive eight Canadian Black Book Retained Value Awards,” said Steve Pilkey, VP, Sales and Marketing, Toyota Canada. “Strong retained value is an important reflection of the quality, durability and reliability built into our vehicles. As customer needs continue to evolve, we remain focused on providing a diverse range of options while delivering the quality product and overall experience Canadians have come to expect from their Toyota and Lexus vehicles.”

TCI was recognized with the following awards:

  • Overall Brand Award: Mainstream (10th consecutive win)
  • Mainstream Car: Toyota Corolla (3rd consecutive win)
  • Mainstream PHEV: Toyota RAV4 Prime (2nd consecutive win)
  • Small/Mid Pickup: Toyota Tacoma (18th consecutive win)
  • Full-Size Pickup: Toyota Tundra (4th consecutive win)
  • Mainstream Sub-Compact/Compact SUV: Toyota Corolla Cross (5th win for a Toyota model)
  • Mainstream Mid/Full-Size SUV: Toyota Sienna (2nd win for a Toyota model)
  • Premium Mid/Full-Size SUV: Lexus LX series

In fact, Toyota vehicles swept the podium in three important categories. In the Mainstream Car category, the Toyota Camry placed second and the Toyota Prius placed third. And, in the Mainstream Sub-Compact / Compact SUV category, the assembled-in-Canada Toyota RAV4 placed second while the Toyota C-HR placed third. Finally, in the Mainstream Mid/Full-Size SUV category, 4Runner placed second and Sequoia placed third.  This follows Toyota’s continued efforts to offer a full range of vehicles - including cars - to meet the needs, lifestyles and budgets of every Canadian driver.
