Best July ever for Toyota Canada


 

TORONTO, August 4, 2026 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) recorded its best ever July for electrified vehicle sales at 16,481 electrified units sold, up 47.5% year-over-year (YOY) and representing 65.8% of the company’s overall sales last month. 

TCI also achieved its best overall July ever, with total sales of 25,060 vehicles, up 8.8% year-over-year (YOY).

Toyota Division reported July sales of 22,049 units, up 8.7% YOY, with electrified vehicles accounting for 66.6% of its sales. Lexus Division sold 3,011 vehicles, up 9.6% YOY, with electrified models representing 59.3% of its sales.

Several Toyota nameplates posted standout July performances. The Toyota bZ achieved its best July ever with 936 units sold, up 84.3% YOY, while the RAV4 family continued its strong momentum with 6,269 units sold, up 13.8% YOY. The Toyota Motor Manufacturing Canada-built RAV4 Hybrid recorded 4,550 sales, up 1026.2% YOY. Strong demand also continued for the Sienna Hybrid, which achieved its best July ever with 1,361 sales, up 24.1% YOY, while the Highlander Hybrid achieved a record July with 664 units sold, up 41.3% YOY.

Lexus also posted strong results, led by the NX family, which achieved a record July with 1,115 units sold, up 35.3% YOY, and the RX family, which reached a record July with 1,011 units sold, up 13.7% YOY.
