Toyota Canada to invest over $300 million building three new facilities to better support its customers and dealers across the country

TORONTO, April 13, 2026 – Toyota Canada Inc. (TCI) has announced the planned construction of three new Canadian facilities: a new head office building and two new parts distribution centres. The combined investment of more than $300 million over the next three years represents a significant commitment to Toyota’s Canadian operations.

New head office for TCI and TCCI

Located on the same parcel of land as the current head office at 1 Toyota Place in Toronto, Ontario, the new 225,000 square-foot building will regroup TCI divisions - including sales, marketing, distribution, service and training activities – under one roof.

Toyota Credit Canada Inc. (TCCI), currently based in Markham, Ontario, will also re-locate to the new building.

Two new parts distribution centres in Surrey, BC and Calgary, AB

TCI will also be building two new parts distribution centres in Western Canada, replacing the company’s current Western Canada Parts Distribution Centre in Richmond, BC: a British Columbia Parts Distribution Centre (BCPDC) and an Alberta Parts Distribution Centre (ABPDC).

Set to begin operations in December of 2028, the BCPDC will be 210,000 operating square feet and built on an 8.1-acre parcel of land located in South Campbell Heights in Surrey. The new location’s convenient access to major transportation routes will allow TCI to better service Toyota and Lexus dealerships and customers across British Columbia.

Also set to begin operations in 2028, the ABPDC will be 220,000 operating square feet and built on a 13.5-acre parcel of land in Calgary. The new location, close to the Calgary airport and major highways, will allow TCI to better service Toyota and Lexus dealerships and customers across Alberta, Saskatchewan and parts of British Columbia.

Together, the two new parts distribution centres will create more space for growth, with more than three times the space the company has today. The new facilities will also help Toyota Canada shorten parts delivery times for its dealerships and customers across Western Canada.

Environmental sustainability and physical accessibility

As part of Toyota’s global 2050 Environmental Challenge, which aims to go beyond zero environmental impact and achieve a net positive impact on the environment by 2050, the company is not only focused on eliminating almost all CO2 emissions from its new vehicles, but also from its operations.

As is the case for TCI’s Eastern Canada Parts Distribution Centre (ECPDC) built in 2020, Toyota Canada’s three new facilities are set to achieve the Canadian Green Building Council LEED® v4 Gold and Net Zero Carbon Building – Design™ certifications, making them amongst the most environmentally sustainable buildings of their kind in Canada.

Also following the example of the ECPDC, the new Toyota Canada facilities are being designed to achieve the Rick Hansen Foundation Accessibility Certification™ program’s “gold” rating for accessibility, in line with Toyota’s global objective to create a more inclusive society for everyone.
