Toyota is conducting a recall involving certain Lexus vehicles

TORONTO, September 17, 2026 – Toyota is conducting a safety recall involving certain model year 2026 Lexus RX vehicles. Approximately 71 vehicles are involved in this recall in Canada.

The front steering knuckles in the subject vehicles may not have been manufactured properly.  After a sudden large impact (such as hitting a pothole or a curb), the front steering knuckle can break. In some operating conditions, this can lead to a loss of vehicle control and increase the risk of a crash.

For all involved vehicles, Lexus dealers will inspect the front steering knuckles to determine if it is from the affected production batch. Affected steering knuckles will be replaced free of charge.

Owners of involved vehicles will be notified by late November 2026.

Information about automotive recalls, including but not limited to the list of involved vehicles, is current as of today’s filing date and is subject to change thereafter. For the most up-to-date Safety Recall Information on Toyota and Lexus vehicles, customers should check their vehicle’s status by visiting Toyota.ca/recall or Lexus.ca/recall and entering their Vehicle Identification Number (VIN).
