(TORONTO) – June 24, 2011 – The J.D. Power and Associates 2011 Canadian Manufacturer Website Evaluation StudySM has determined that Toyota ranks highest in customer satisfaction, according to evaluations provided by 2,555 new-vehicle shoppers who indicated they would be in the market for a new vehicle within the next 12 months.

“We are honoured that toyota.ca was chosen as #1 in customer satisfaction,” said Stephen Beatty, Managing Director at Toyota Canada Inc.  “We take pride in our new website build tool, which allows shoppers to virtually customize a vehicle model they intend to purchase. Canadian drivers are busy, and they need information that is easy to use and convenient to access; our website plays a key role in making sure we deliver just that.”

Now in its sixth year, the study by J.D. Power and Associates examined Canadian automotive manufacturer websites from the perspective of shoppers who intend to purchase a new vehicle within the next 12 months.

Four factors that contribute to overall customer satisfaction were addressed in the study: information/content; speed of pages loading on the website; ease of navigating throughout the website; and appearance of the website. In ranking Toyota highest in customer satisfaction, J.D. Power and Associates noted that Toyota “performs particularly well across all four factors.”
