TORONTO, December 17, 2024 – Life should be epic – and the 2025 Toyota Tacoma mid-size pickup truck redefines epic adventures like never before. Powerful, capable, connected, and offered in twelve distinctive model and grade packages built around a choice of gasoline or hybrid powertrains, the Tacoma is equally at home on the streets or overlanding across rugged terrain.
“The Tacoma is more than a truck: It’s an invitation to go where you want to go. To do what you want to do. And to see what you want to see,” said Cyril Dimitris, Vice President, Toyota Canada Inc. “When Toyota introduced this newest generation, we took great care to retain everything that has made Tacoma a legend for nearly 30 years, while raising the bar with more capability, more features, more comfort, and modern style – plus the advanced power and awesome torque of Toyota’s hybrid powertrain technology. With twelve grades – including several that we have enhanced for 2025 – there’s a Tacoma for every adventurous Canadian.”
Epic adventures start with performance, which is why Toyota engineers developed three powertrains designed to ensure nothing stands in your way.
Tacoma’s rugged capability is fully matched by robust good looks. This midsized truck conveys its thirst for adventure from every angle. By contrast, the interior conveys capability and comfort in equal measure, with a double cab design that provides space for up to five adults.
Every Tacoma is a technology showcase, starting with the Toyota Multimedia system – a bundle of smart connectivity technologies that keep drivers informed and safe while simplifying their lives behind the wheel. Toyota Multimedia integrates wirelessly with both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto and features Toyota’s newest interface, which improves interaction between people and vehicle through sight, touch, and voice. Other technology features include touchscreen display audio systems, USB charging ports, and a multi-information display for the driver.
As a Toyota, every Tacoma also comes with an impressive package of safety features headlined by Toyota Safety Sense 3.0 – Toyota’s suite of active safety technologies and capabilities that supports driver awareness and decision making to help reduce the potential for accidents. Other standard safety features include the Toyota Star Safety System, a backup camera, eight airbags, the Blind Spot Monitor System with Rear Cross Traffic Alert, a tire pressure monitoring system with auto location, and an anti-theft alarm system with engine immobilizer.
