TORONTO, January 21, 2026 – Toyota and Lexus were recognized with a total of 12 J.D. Power 2026 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards.

Toyota took home the #1 Mainstream Brand Award for the seventh consecutive year, and Lexus received the #1 Luxury Brand Award for the sixth consecutive year.

The J.D. Power 2026 Canada ALG Residual Value Awards recognize vehicles from the 2026 model year that are forecasted to retain the highest percentage of their manufacturer suggested retail price (MSRP) over the next four years for mainstream vehicles and three years for luxury vehicles.

“We’re proud of these awards as they recognize consumers continue to get the best possible value over the long term when purchasing their new vehicle from Toyota or Lexus,” said Robert Tsang, Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Toyota Canada. “As the only Canadian automaker that covers all the segments, we offer a vehicle to meet the needs, lifestyle and budgets of every Canadian driver.”

In addition to receiving the #1 Mainstream Brand Award for the 7th consecutive year, Toyota also won seven segment awards:

  • Toyota Corolla Cross (Small SUV)
  • Toyota Highlander (Midsize SUV)
  • Toyota Tacoma (Midsize Truck)
  • Toyota Tundra (Large Light Duty Truck)
  • Toyota Camry (Midsize Car)
  • Toyota Corolla (Compact Car)
  • Toyota Sienna (Minivans)

In addition to receiving the #1 Luxury Brand Award for the 6th consecutive year, Lexus also won three segment awards:

  • Lexus NX (Compact Premium SUV)
  • Lexus UX (Small Premium SUV)
  • Lexus LX (Large Premium SUV)

According to J.D. Power, “a segment-leading residual value can benefit consumers with advantageous lease programs and serve as an indicator of strong brand value for the manufacturer, signaling quality, desirability, and long-term demand.”
